1st Haircut

May 19, 2009

I just love to find cute vendors for my kids and this is one of my new favorites! This particular place was recommended to me by a friend and we had a wonderful experience there for my daughter’s first haircut. I’m not sure how or why we did this, but found ourselves with an almost 3 year old toddler with hair flowing down her back that had NEVER been cut. The first cut is the deepest, right? Well, not in this case. The shop was so cute and the girls who work there are amazing. My oldest insisted on getting his hair cut too because the chairs were an old car, airplane, police car and firetruck. I think the shop got the thumbs up from everyone in the family!

O.N.E.

May 18, 2009

I can’t believe our baby is 1 year old now.  Where does the time go? A few weeks ago we had a birthday party for baby E at my parents’ house and we had a large crowd of family and friends join us to celebrate.  Here are a few snaps of E and her friends that came to party with her!

The Miracle of Life…

May 10, 2009

My brother and his wife had triplets about a month ago and I finally got to meet them this weekend. They have two boys and a girl and they are all growing and progressing well in spite of their prematurity. I cannot wait for them to come home so that we can hold them and touch them. I have 3 children of my own but I was still a little nervous around these precious ones because they are so small and I would hate to give them any germs. I just peeked in on each one of them and tried to get some good shots of them for the family. J and H, I love yall and will be thinking of your family every day!

Miss M again!

January 2, 2009

Can I just say how much I LOVE my repeat clients?  Here is Miss M again.  Mom wanted to capture her in her Christmas dress but we ended up doing a couple of outfit changes for this session.  She is such a little princess and really knows how to ham it up for the camera!  I always love photographing her and spending time catching up with mom.  Can’t wait to see y’all in the spring for a one year celebration session!

ashley: Oh what a love! She is adorable! Great captures of this happy little one;-)

Miss M….

November 10, 2008

Aren’t those beautiful blue eyes the best? I had so much fun photographing her and visiting with her mommy and I can’t wait to see them again at Christmas (hopefully all settled into their new home…CONGRATS!) I think that she really has gotten this photography thing figured out and she knows just how to strike a pose. I hope yall love these as much as I do!

Amanda Leatherberry: Great job on this Kathy! That baby has some gorgeous eyes too....beautiful!

Family Photos….

November 10, 2008

are a bit of a challenge as I have learned.  It isn’t often that I have this many folks in the frame all at once so thanks for keeping me on my toes.  It was good to see all of you and I hope you like them!

Amanda Leatherberry: What a cute baby!

Sneak Peek Part II

September 22, 2008

As promised, here are a few more pictures from my senior session on Saturday. Enjoy!

Aunt Pam: She is such a beautiful girl and you did a wonderful job catching that in your photographs :) Thanks so much for making her senior pictures something she will always be proud of! You truly have a gift for photography!

Amanda Leatherberry: This session turned out really GOOD Kathy! Beautiful shots! Great job!

Senior Sneak Peek

September 20, 2008

Today was a real treat for me because I got to spend time photographing this gorgeous senior. It isn’t often that I am shooting subjects who don’t run from me (i.e. toddlers) so it was a nice change of pace. I had so much fun with her and her lovely family and I hope that they all like the pictures as much as I do. I got so many ‘keepers’ that I plan to have a sneak peek part 2 so stay tuned.

Happy Birthday Livvy!

September 4, 2008

Ok, so it’s been awhile and I have several updates…..the first of which is Liv’s birthday party at My Gym. To tell you the truth, I really planned on being full-on mommy this particular Saturday and just enjoying the party with my kiddos but I can never help myself when the camera is in tow. I got some really cute shots that I knew I had to share here. Happy 3rd Birthday Liv….wishing you a wonderful year!!!!

Ben Helton: LOVE the shot in the ball pit -- so colorful and fun!

Beautiful Disaster

July 12, 2008

We decided to walk through Oakland Cemetery today just to look at all of the beautiful monuments that are there. As some of you may know, downtown Atlanta was hit by a powerful tornado back in March and unfortunately Oakland was in the path of destruction. Crews are still working hard to clean up all of the debris (mostly from the trees) but we did occasionally come across a monument or marker that fell victim to the tornado.

Some of the famous Atlantans buried in Oakland are Margaret Mitchell and Bobby Jones and there are thousands of Confederate soldiers buried there.
